Rand: "I've made an ass out of myself and need to do a little damage control..."

of course I'm paraphrasing a little. But how else does one take this?

Paul, who like Johnson was backed by the tea party during his bid for Senate in 2010, said after the hearings concluded that Clinton made a legitimate case.

"I think she has a little bit of a valid point," he said on CNN's "The Situation Room." "It's not so important whether or not it was a movie or what it was. I think what's important, though, in going forward is it not happen again."

<<<<snip>>>>>

Paul, who like Clinton is a potential candidate for president in 2016, also explained his statement that the September 11, 2012 attack at the diplomatic post in Benghazi was "the worst tragedy since 9/11," making clear on CNN that he was referring to "diplomatic and security and intelligence" tragedies. He said his statement excluded the intelligence failure that led to the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

wherein embassy personnel had been killed during junior's administration was as great a diplomatic and security and intelligence tragedy. Sure, rigorous fact-checking is what Repugs to before going off on wildly inaccurate accusatory tangents.

Rand Paul ran signature campaigns on the internet in support of Grover Norquist style pledges in the Senate to support the legislation described at this link or else.

The effect of this kind of "organizing" can be described as, TTE, "Leave us and our guns alone or "revolutions" around the world will continue whenever/wherever that happens, even if that means more American blood spilled somewhere anywhere it happens, the United Nations be damned."

It's called Plausible Deniability and it's worth a fortune to War Profiteers.

A Libertarian I know posted it to FaceBook. I read him the riot act about how we got involved in Iraq, soldiers being taken advantage of, and little kids in foreign countries dying because of our domestic politics. He didn't care.

just to see her wipe the floor with him during the debates.

"worst tragedy since 9/11" please... did he forget the wars started by Dumbya that cost over 6,000 brave American soldiers their lives?

The moron actually said that, a little bit of a valid point? When someone uses words like that it implies someone grabbed the twit by the ear and forced him to apologize for something he doesn't regret one bit, like the class bully having to apologize in front of the other students for picking on their favorite victim.
