"This is one of those rare instances where my presence indirectly became a part of this reaction from those pictured in the photograph. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had just accidentally dropped all of her briefing papers onto the Oval Office rug and she, the President and Vice President all reacted in a way that indicated that surely I wouldn't get a photo of that to embarrass her." (32,079 posts)One more small reason I am glad these two are still in that office, and not Slick Willard. Willard would have no problem seeing that one of his underlings was humiliated, rather than trying to prevent an embarrassing photo. Hell, given his history, he probably would have set up something like that.

(83,730 posts)The two of them were amazing! The friendship and respect they have for each other shines through in that interview.
I was always an Obama girl...from the beginning. However my respect for Hillary has grown, immensely! Don't get me wrong, I have always admired the woman. She has soared in her position as SOS. Kudos to Hillary! They put aside politics to do what is right for us...you can add VP Biden to this mix. They are all working together to fix our Country. To make the world a safer place.
Why is it that our party puts aside it's differences for the betterment of our Nation, when the GOP does not. They work to bring us down. We work to strengthen our Nation and the world!
Thank you, PBO, SOS Clinton and VP Biden...et all, thank you for keeping us safe. Thank you for making the changes that will make this Country great!

(53,992 posts)For all the grimness they have to deal with, it's clear these people love serving their country and can see that they are, in tiny steps, making the world a better place.

(53,992 posts)three years from now, Joe and Hillary could be running against each other to take over the White House. But it's so clear from this picture that they genuinely like each other. Can you imagine the two of them in a debate, not particularly caring who won, just letting the public decide (and holding onto all of their funds until the Fall election)?
I'd kill a truck load of baby seals if it'd make Joe Biden president for just a month. My estimation of Hillary Clinton's prowess as politician and as a global player has soared inestimably in the past four years. But that said, I actually hope it's somebody younger. Historically, Dems win when they run young Turks (sadly, Cenk Uyger isn't eligible) for the White House.
I don't have a candidate yet. I'd gladly support either of our elder statesmen in that photo, but my gut tells me we're gonna need a fresh face in 2016. And my gut is never wrong.
