Bay Buchanan quits TV punditry, takes online real estate class after Romney’s ‘brutal’ loss

A former top aide to Mitt Romney says that she quit her career as a television pundit and began taking online real estate classes after the former Republican presidential nominee’s “brutal” loss to President Barack Obama.

Bay Buchanan, the sister of former Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan, told the Washington Examiner that Romney’s defeat was a sign that it was time for her to find a new career.

“It was so tough. It was brutal,” she explained. “I think it’s the toughest because we really expected to win it.”

Just two days after the election, Buchanan started an online real estate course and recently became a sales associate for McEnearney Associates Inc. in McLean, Va.

“Being somebody that they kind of know will be a real positive and, as you know, I’m just a charming person,” Buchanan insisted, adding that “compared to what I did in the past, this is an easy sell.”

Roger Ailes actually called a staff meeting at 5:00 on Election Day and told the Faux anchors, "If things don't go your way tonihgt, don't go out there looking like someone just ran over your dog."

Voter ID, other voter suppression tactics (long lines, reduced voting hours, etc) and shenanigans with electronic voting machines to win the election for them.

And for whatever reason, they never pulled the trigger. Remember it wasn't just Ohio that Fox didn't want to believe had gone to Obama, but they were refusing to call Pennsylvania early on, saying it was too close. The repubs in Pennsylvania had promised it would go to Romney because of their voter suppression... I mean, voter id laws, which when you do that - on tape - gets you a visit from the Justice Department, which made them drop the requirements. I think they expected these voter id laws to push things for Romney, and when they got knocked down didn't have a good back-up plan that they could get implemented in time, which means they came up with a crappy one which was probably so both incredibly obvious and illegal, that the people with their fingers on the trigger never squeezed (not wanting to go to jail) - thus the disbelief coming from Fox.

That's why the Obama win was so sweet. They really thought they were going to win and they never had a chance.

how much larger the win would have been if all those voter restrictions had not been in place? I think I heard they estimated about 400K more in Florida alone - that could have made a very decisive no questions asked by these idjits with a win a large as it would have been had all votes counted.

she also "helped" Tancredo's failed campaign. Like Pat, she's a racist. Maybe she'll try using real estate to segregate neighborhoods, wouldn't put it past her.
