For what it's worth, Daschle used to be as bad as Reid. He always talked tough, always backed down. Although, to this day I think Cheney's anthrax and threats had him a bit rattled.

8. Just wait til the next generation sees their grandmas needing nursing home care and

she has spent down all of her money (and their inheritance). They'll be looking for Medicaid to pick up the tab. If it's no longer there, then Grandma comes to live with THEM...then they'll be saying "Hey, when I said we wanted to cut entitlements, I didn't mean THIS!"
