Netanyahu has drawn a line in the sand, only this time, it's for the U.S.
According to a Maariv report, when speaking to a visiting delegation from the American Jewish Committee, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel was simply not strong enough to force a halt to Iran's nuclear enrichment program. In order to halt the program, Bibi said, the U.S. would have to strike, and they must do so this year.
Netanyahu:
"The sanctions are only likely to stop Iran if there is a credible (military) threat over their head ... and in order for it to be a credible threat, you need to mean it, meaning that if the sanctions don't work and they haven't until now you will use it," he said.
He followed this up by saying that 2013 would be the last year America could effectively put an end to Iran's nuclear program. If not, they would get their hands on enriched uranium and build a bomb in "a short time" according to Netanyahu.

(2,900 posts)protect Israel. It is time for an Israeli PM who can diplomatically move toward a solution that isn't war.
I, for one, don't want the US to go to war again in the Middle East and don't care if Iran gets the bomb. Lots of countries have the bomb and guess what, they aren't going to use it against the US or the allies of the US.

(3,691 posts)Hopefully Americans are losing their patience for his war mongering. His constant pushing for this war is only causing folks to rethink their unquestioning support of Israel. I hope to see politicians find the balls to stand up to him and his Israel's US supporters and say NO to this ill conceived venture. He wins reelection by a slim margin and has the gall to think he can start making demands on the US. This is much of what the fight against Hagel is about. They fear he won't rush to war on Israel's behalf.

(13,615 posts)Because President Hillary would have gone to war, and in 2016, will go to war. A war with Iran can make both Gulf Wars look like a joke, as they will cut off Chinese oil, which of course, will tank the economy.

North Korea and Pakistan have the bomb, world is still here. Why is a nuclear Iran suddenly the end of the world?

Why should my son have to worry about going back to war for a country half a world away that can fend for itself and seems to do so quite well (they killed a bunch of people a few months ago with little problem)?
I am tired of tithing to other countries from my paycheck and getting...well nothing in return while our bridges falter, our people go hungry and without jobs, etc.
The RW and their biblical crap is driving this (all about prophecy to them) - let them take up collections in church and go volunteer to fight.
