SF archbishop: same-sex marriage is like men breastfeeding

San Francisco archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, an outspoken critic of gay marriage, told a Catholic newspaper in England Monday that same-sex marriage is so unnatural it is a natural impossibility.
“Legislating for the right for people of the same sex to marry is like legalising male breastfeeding,” he told the Catholic Herald.
Cordileone, 56, faced protestors when he was sworn in last year because of his record of anti-gay efforts. He was a major supporter of Proposition 8, which Californians passed in 2008 and banned same-sex marriage in the state.
... The interview also discussed the role of women — they can’t be priests, but Cordileone said as “life-givers,” women should be allowed to walk through doors ahead of men and wear veils to protect their sacredness.
