Kombo Kolumbia were not a narco band -- they were were known for love songs. And actually only nineteen members were found at the bottom of a well. One lived to tell the tale. Mexico is out of fucking controll.

(12,723 posts)Would not step foot in that country for anything. It is a damned shame the US tries to control the other side of the world with no regard for the monsters that are running loose just across their own border.

(5,865 posts)letting this happen? Where is the outrage? Billions spent abroad. Death and Chaos next door to us. Insane. RIP Kombo Kolumbia.

(100,038 posts)HSBC should get the death penalty for using their money to fund the violent Mexican drug cartels. Instead they get a $2 billion slap on the wrist. Until we start holding these pigs accountable for their crimes nothing is ever going to change.

(14,498 posts)I never ... EVER.... watch Niteline, but I did last nite for ten minutes or so.
It opened w. a story about a single shooting murder ( of a school bus driver somewhere in Alabama) by what certainly appears to be a demented individual
The shooter then took a child off the bus... presumably as a hostage... and took him to his residence where they were holed-up in some underground-type bunker, w the accused negotiating w. police.
Not exactly a "trivial" story ; but, in the vast configuration of things, not all that significant *nationally*.... or internationally. ( relative to, say, the 19 murders in Mexico referred to in OP.)
After the 10 minute treatment of the crazed gunman in Ala. story, Niteline broke for a commerical w. the teaser that the upcoming segment was about football players.
I went to bed.
Basically explains why I "never" watch Niteline.... or other MSM: what's "News" ain't really "News".
