Question: With all of the baggage George W. Bush has, do you think the GOP will want him at the

convention? If so will he be welcomed as a hero. The current GOP candidates have actually avoided any substantive discussion of the last GOP President.

They'd nominate another Bush in a heartbeat, given the choice. But Shrub would overshadow the convention because reporters would flock to him.

There will be so much baggage at the GOP convention, they could open up a second-hand store.

I believe some people would try to burn down the meeting hall before allowing Bush to be seen or photographed on the premises. I don't know what the word cloud would show for the Republican debates, but I'd bet their last occupant of the Oval Office hasn't even averaged one mention per debate.

It would be malpractice if the Democrats don't attribute Bush the Least's record repeatedly to current circumstances.

If the People's Party ignore him without tying his record to Republicans in Congress attempts to maintain Bush's legacy, the GOP's job of whitewashing the Pretender in Chief will become all the easier.

Thanks for the thread, Lint Head.
