Wisconsin: GAB says it has scanned all of the Walker recall petitions

http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/elections/gab-says-it-has-scanned-all-of-the-walker-recall/article_c318a524-4938-11e1-b15e-001871e3ce6c.html

Wisconsin elections officials say they have delivered electronic copies to Gov. Scott Walker's campaign seeking his recall from office.

The Government Accountability Board said Friday it had scanned 152,300 petition pages, roughly half of which had been turned over earlier in the week. The board has not yet estimated how many signatures are on the pages, but recall organizers say there are about a million.

The board had previously turned over copies of recall petitions targeting four state senators and it hopes to complete work on those against Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch next week.

A link to Walker's petitions will be posted on the GAB website Monday. The 30-day window for Walker to file challenges to the signatures starts Saturday.

Those 152,300 petitions would need to average about 6.5 signatures per page (there are ten lines per page on the actual petition). That seems very reasonable considering the several hundred petitions that passed through my hands.

Can't wait for the petitions to be on-line so the Republicans can look for all those Donald Ducks and Mickey Mouses they've been clamoring about.
