The Republicans have given us a perfect storm

Trickling straight down from the top are Mitt Romney's 1%ers, like an angry hurricane from the far right are Newt's Tea Baggers, and flooding the very ground on which they all walk comes Ron Paul's Libertarians. Three forces, clashing for attention, none willing to pack up and blow away. None ready to cede an ounce of their claimed territory...

When your opponents are busy destroying themselves, its generally best to get out of the way and let it roll...

But it's tempting to wish for Obama to stir that pot a little...

Serve up some non-interventionist military reform proposals, tossing bones to the Libertarians just to get them worked up a bit. Boner and Can'tor will piss all over those proposals just to thwart Obama, and the Paulites will take one step closer to a 3rd party run.

Then have Obama "set the record straight" with a fireside chat detailing the differences between his Health Insurance Reform and Romney care. Let him go into details listing the similarities and differences. It doesn't matter.

The longer Obama talks about Romney care, regardless of what he says, the more it hurts Romney. He could come out tomorrow, BLAST Romney care, and the Tea Baggers (living as they do in upside-out land) will say the rant was full of Obama codewords for how much he loves Romney's plan. They'll also point out his covert promises to his Kenyan Socialist overlords about the impending Big Brother Health Care takeover.

In fact, we should have one of our plants on their side start that meme. We should PUSH the Tea Baggers into a rage. A churning bitterness of conspiratorial fear and anger, with no way to vent it because that flip-flopping socialist Mitt Romney is in the way.

This would keep Gingrich in the race far longer than he should. As a bonus, we'll see increased GOP hints directed at Newt, all but printing out Google map directions on how to find the fucking door. This will only piss off Newtie, and again, Gingrich will stay in the race far longer than he should.

It may even leave him convinced that he has nothing to lose, being hated in his own party. If a man has nothing to lose, he's unpredictable. Think Gingrich on Meth.

Yeah, that would be the fun thing to do, but not the pragmatic, logical thing. I doubt our Vulcanized President will go for it. You can say I'm a a dreamer....but in this case, I probably am the only one.

who WON Iowa, likely won the last debate, and most significantly won the endorsement of the Evangelical Christians.

So how does your agit-prop proposal deal with Ricky?
