General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsThere seem to be various debates about the armament being carried by Dorner -
for example, is a 50 caliber bullet 5" long or 5 1/2" long?
My reaction is, if you are hit by one, it doesn't much matter!

(5,170 posts)1. I'm sure those are debates started by the gunners
who think if you don't know exactly what size and kind of bullet and gun are used, and every single feature of each, that you are not allowed to have opinions about gun policy. I ask them why they have opinions on healthcare policy when they can't perform open heart surgery. And they have no answer...
You are correct. It doesn't matter.

(34,162 posts)3. The bullet itself is about 2.0 - 2.3 inches long, the cartridge is about 5.4 inches long.
And you're right that it is big, hard hitting round that is devastating if shot at the human body.
