"Further proof: that All the racism is on the left"

This was the subject line of the e-mail I received today from my 'conservative' co-worker, a guy who does the same job as me and someone I consider a friend.

His proof?

A grainy video from scumbag Andrew Breitbart's site. That's right. Breitbart.

http://www.breitbart.tv/msnbc-analyst-compares-az-governor-to-segregation-era-racist-screaming-at-black-kids/

The video was of a clip on Lawrence O'Donnell's show. Melissa Harris-Perry compared the photograph of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer sticking her bony finger of indignation into President Obama's face with the photograph of Elizabeth Eckford attempting to enter a school in Little Rock on September 4, 1957 with a bunch of racists screaming at her.

This is his proof.

I have countered his ridiculous assertion many times to no avail.

So I am asking fellow DUers, can you give me some examples that may counter his ridiculous assertion that "all racism comes from the left" ?

I'll be happy to pass them on.

While I disagree with Harris-Perry's opinion (I find it a bit of a stretch) I don't see how that proves that racism is from the left.

Then why are you trying. Dems have been standing up for the poor and minorities, while republicans have been shouting us down, lynching us up and throwing us out. History answers your question.

Except those people are now called Republicans. The Democrats started flushing those turds as far back as 1948.

They were hard-core conservatives. Nixon developed the "Southern Strategy", and they are now the GOP base.

Which is not quite the same thing. The GOP had fiscal conservatives long before they had social conservatives. Goldwater couldn't stand the social conservatives, and warned the party about crawling into bed with them. They didn't listen.

After the Great Depression, the South was a stronghold of New Deal Democrats. The Dixiecrats only came along after the Democratic party began adopting a civil rights platform.

face.

Ask him to provide you with an instance in which a black person screamed YOU LIE at a white President.

Ask him to defend Glan Beck claiming Obama hates the white culture.

Ask him to defend any video of the racist Pat Buchannan.

Ask him to defend Limbaugh's almost daily racist tirades.

Ask him if the confederate flag should be flown along side the US flag, even though it was raised AGAINST the US flag. Then ask why its OK to raise an alternative flag, but not burn the actual US flag.

For some of these folks think that so long as they don't scream the word N****R in a public place, what they said was not, is not, racist.

And I've been told several times that "racist" is about the worst thing you can call/say to someone--much worse, I'm sure, than the things that racists say to/about others.

Sigh.
