It's the most intelligent panel discussion show on television...this ought to be interesting. Coming up shortly.

1. This is an excellent segment.

Several good points, not the last of which is that China isn't "taking away our jobs" by manufacturing iPhones and iPads...these were jobs that were NEVER performed onthe United States; these products (and those of the other brand names) were specifically designed and engineered to take advantage of the manufacturing abilities of these Chinese factories. Unlike a car, a phone is tiny and lightweight and easily shippable anywhere in the world at very low cost.

Also, very interesting graph about manufacturing in the United States; it's basically a myth that we've always been about manufacturing jobs here in America. As the chart shows, management has in fact always been about eliminating manufacturing jobs, getting rid of workers and worker's rights.

Fascinating discussion. Usually re-runs mid-day. Catch it if you can.
