Bake sale held to save Oviedo school
Strenstrom Elementary under threat of closure
OVIEDO, Fla. -
Students at a Seminole County elementary school held a bake sale on Saturday as an effort to make up for the school district's budget shortfalls.
Stenstrom Elementary School in Oviedo could close because of a district budget deficit of $20 million.

"A school closing in a community affects property values, businesses, the amount patrons that they get, and they dynamic of the community," said Betsy Jewell.
Students sold brownies, cupcakes, cookies, and even lemonade, hoping to raise money that would help keep Stenstrom open.
"I want to give this money to my principal, Dr. Trainer, to give the money to the governor," said Ethan Jewell, a second-grader.
