I work for a wealthy guy and he got this from the Heritage Foundation today

Dear Fellow Americans,

Today our country faces the biggest challenges I can remember. As you read this letter, liberals are working to carry out their plans to radically change America. Their ultimate goal is to transform us into a European-style welfare state.

(Me- that might not be a bad thing!)

Look their record. In only four years, they've added trillions of dollars to our national debt, destroyed jobs and crushed the economy with crippling taxes and regulations - putting millions of Americans out of work - and drastically weakened our standing in the world

(Me- No you republicans have done what you are accusing us liberals of)

Yet instead of admitting the failure of their policies, President Obama and his liberal allies doubled down, spending more, creating bigger and more intrusive bureaucracies, slashing our military budget, and showing deadly weakness int he face of our enemies.

(Me - What administration created the homeland security and what also destroyed our standing in the world?)

Why I'm inviting you to join Heritage - Typical blah blah blah stuff to boring to pass on

Since its founding in 1973, Heritage has been a fierce defender of conservative principles, promoting free enterprise, limited government (me like when they want to control a woman's reproductive rights?) individual freedom (Me- how about legalizing pot? no we can't because it would hurt the tobacco companies profits) , traditional American values, and a strong national defense.

(Me like only conservatives want that stuff?)

In 1980, Heritage created a blueprint fro the Reagan administration called Mandate for Leadership. President Reagan and his staff implemented hundreds of our policies and ushered in a new era of conservatism - rescuing America from the decline, weakness and demoralization of the Carter years.

(Me- Yeah things have been F'ed up for the American worker since 1980 when Reagan did his mandate and the decline in the country was because Nixon the crook got caught, the only ones demoralized were the republicans for Nixon getting caught in Watergate and having to resign.

Part 2 to follow if you guys are interested. Retyping this crap makes me want to vomit in my throat but I will do it if anyone is interested.

1) Spelling this stuff out so more of us, who don't get to see emails like that specific one, can see and read and know.

2) Adding your comments. Always good to see the bullshit neatly fricasseed. And concisely, too, for the short-attention-span crowd. They'll understand brief talking points more easily than long and studied ones. The quick hits are always better when you find yourself having to debunk some nut-blather in the checkout line or something.

That leaves 'em stumped, confused, speechless, nonplussed, and destabilized.

From all the work I've done with my kid's band, I've learned about the value of the "elevator pitch." What could you say to promote yourself or pique curiosity or make a decisive point or indelible (preferably favorable) impression - in the time it takes for the average elevator ride.

I loved mccain to one teabagger lout at the meeting, after blah-blah-blah'ing a bunch of meaningless drivel that they just totally reject - about everyone being welcome to their own opinion and how all are welcome here at this meeting "...and occasionally I get a jerk like you here!" Well, john, be proud! YOU BUILT THIS. You broke it AND you own it. It's all yours! Chickens, meet roost! You and yours stirred up this shitstorm. So don't act so surprised or indignant when it splatters all over your expensive suit.

system from its entirely predictable de-regulation fueled implosion is the fault of the guy who got into office after the guy who signed off on that rescue, and that the problem is "socialism".

This is classic 180 propaganda.

Sequester hasn't happened yet, and in any case it was Boehner's idea.

I think if you asked Americans if they could have the same wage:price, wage:insurance, and wage:home price ratios (plus national debt) that existed during the Carter years they would go for it in a heartbeat. Fuck Reagan and the horse he rode in on.

Added trillions to the ND? False.

Cheney/Bush, and Reagan/Bush did that.

Destroyed jobs and crushed the economy? False.

Cheney/Bush did that.

It's the perfect example of what Psychological Projection is all about!

Here is the stupid boiled down in one contrasting idea:Obama and his liberal allies doubled down, spending more...slashing our military budget and showing deadly weakness int he face of our enemies

Get it Obama is evil because he is spending too much... Obama is evil because he is spending too little.

the humor in this is the debt and destroyed jobs come from not following a European style that heck not even every European country follows and the ones that tied their economic models to the heritage foundation are not doing that hot either. How much longer can they blame a non-existent expansion of liberal programs for their failed economic model... the answer seems to be as long as there are enough fool that vote Republican.

Really surprised they're unable to revamp their message after their miserable failures.

Nobody believes any of that crap anymore. Since their message lacks any logic whatsoever, the only thing anyone could possibly conclude is that their underlying racism and xenophobia is the only thing they have left.

Like small government...unless it is one they CREATED. Okay, thanks for letting everyone know one of the sources of evil in America. Same people as the PNAC crowd. Supported GWB bringing us to global economic collapse.
