Gays and Lesbians serving openly in the military.
Even the beginnings of a national health care plan.
The end of our military presence in Iraq.
The Republicans reduced to running complete morons as candidates for President.
A successful rescue of the US automotive industry.

(146,284 posts)to look at both the negative and the positive together, or we can choose to look at them individually. For me, measuring the balance seems to be the best approach. Things are always changing.
You didn't expect much progress did you?
Of course Obama as the POTUS was a surprise. But it is nothing more than progress.

These are bad times for the good.
What do we say to our children when the powerful are allowed to break all these laws and not be jailed?
