I was only 23 at the time and engaged to a wonderful woman whose parents were hard core Reagan supporters...even then I knew his campauign was a code word for selfishness "I've got mine, so fuck off" I said so to them and since then we haven't talked!!! in 31 years!!! I gotta admit it solved a lot of in law problems and where to go on holidays..there wasn't any tug..we created our own traditions.
