(24,331 posts)He doesn't actually have a salaried job, FICA taxes aren't assessed on capital gains, and I don't THINK they're assessed on non-payroll income like speaking fees.

(36,281 posts)From the summaries I've seen of his tax return, it didn't look like any was wages. Or maybe it's such a relatively small amount that it's insignificant.

(26,467 posts)300k is a fortune to us, but out of 21.6 million, it's nothing... so basically he doesn't do shit but make money on interest and dividends...
edit; roughly 1.42% of it is from "speaking fees"
