claiming she said 170 million jobs could be lost due to the sequestration.
Anybody know what she actually said, & what the context was? I looked on the Google but couldn't find much except the RW sites; no original source.

The wingnut who sent me the first email about this alleged story said something about her being a discredit to her race.

(41,832 posts)I just noticed a post by National Review On-Line contributor Charles C. W. Cooke about House Financial Services Committee Ranking Member Waters obvious slip of the tongue (she accidentally said 170 million , when she meant 170 thousand) when referring to the number of jobs that may be lost as a result of sequestration.
I think this was below your standards, and hope youll reconsider the post.

(6,151 posts)... I'm reminded of my favorite Archie Bunker episode where he accidentally locked himself in his basement over the weekend while everyone else was gone. He was miserable in every possible way and toward the end, he fell on his knees to ask "God, if you exist, send me help. If you love me, show me your face!" (or words to that effect)
At that very moment George Jefferson comes hunting him and opens the basement door from the outside. Archie looks up at the figure silhouetted in light at the top of the stairs, and he screams "My God! Jefferson was right!"
