Rachel Maddow called A. Scalia a troll last night and I concur.

“It’s weird to see Antonin Scalia in person,” Maddow told Jon Stewart. “He’s a troll. He’s saying this for effect. He knows it’s offensive, and he knows he’s going to get a gasp from the courtroom which he got. And he loves it. He’s like the guy in your blog comment thread who’s using the n-word. … He’s that kind of guy.”

Her description of how he just likes to be offensive made a lot of sense. Just the kind of guy we need in SCOTUS

So perfect he is rendered speechless constantly. So we have arrested development and just damned dumb. What a world.

but it is pretty close to what I imagine the truth to be. I will smile, snicker a little and understand their decisions a little better now. Weep for SCOTUS. Can you imagine what it must be like to have to deal with these guys?

Trolls are more like terrorists, bomb throwers. Definitely outsiders.

Scalia is one of the most powerful men in this country, which makes him one of the most powerful men in the world.

He's the alpha jerk that always seems to end up running things, to the detriment of all. He's the living example of how we humans have yet to evolve to select leaders who are right-hearted, right-minded, and considerate, instead of leaders who are alpha-dogs that know how to control conversation and debate through arrogance and hubris. He's intelligence that isn't grounded by wisdom or checked by heart.

Mostly, he's the big chunk that rises to the top of the septic tank.
