And they are trying to completely revise history. They've rewritten the entire story of the Great Depression and FDR.

It started in the late seventies. We now see it everywhere in the GOP. The Christians have long since taken over the precinct, county, and state GOP positions. That the national convention is all but all Caucasion evangelical Christians is no accident; it was the plan from the beginning.

Now they all scream "This is a Christian country" at the top of their lungs.

Those of us active back then saw it happening and have no doubt as to their plans, their goals.

They have been trying to get rid of those programs since they came into play. They are like dogs on the hunt they won't stop until they get some blood.

at religious services, maybe be pressured to join and tithe, even though they can't afford it.

Yeah, make the poor live in hypocrisy so they can gather a few crumbs. Screw dat.

I suspect leaving charity to churches is a backdoor way of proselytizing.

Who supplies the money to the churches?? The general public!! If they are hurting, they don't donate to the church, then in turn, the church cannot help the poor!!!

Are we going to have to go back to the practice of begging for alms from the rich??? Damn!

none of these programs would have been created in the first place. They were created because millions and seniors were starving, cold and sick.

But there way of rationalizing it gives them an out. If you were a good and faithful servant favored by god, you wouldn't be poor in the first place. And if you get sick or die, it's just god's will. It also gives the the power to judge who is "worthy" of help -- meaning white people.
