1. Well, it may not be as bad as you think. Not at first...........

It's not like the 'dreaded cross of midnight' where at the stroke of 12 the earth is destroyed. It would be more like a slow slide into hell. The economy will slow down, people will become unemployed, people will go hungry. YES this is a bad thing.
Also the forces that control the GOP will begin to loose profit. Think of Wallmarts bad January. Profit is their only motive. Country has no meaning. Party aliance is only that republicans serve their ends.
GOP co. will be under pressure to find a way to 'keep the money coming'.
Likely it will come down to something like this.
The Teapublican puppets will be informed that if they can't keep the profits coming in they will be replaced by other puppets that can get the job done.
This may cause one of two things to happen.
1) republicans may be forced to bargen in good faith.
or
2) The republican menance may be seen for the self centered tools that they are.
No; it is not a pretty picture but it might lead to this.

2014: Get the vermin out of the house.

2. Just keep in mind that this did not work well when Repubs and Newt did this to Clinton

the people voted them right out of office as quickly as possible. I think with the economy just starting to show some signs of life, this is not going to be forgotten next year.

4. Actually, they didn't. Newt's party held the House until 2006.

Never understood why they weren't blasted out of there by the dozens in '96. And, in a way, I kind of thought Clinton didn't WANT his own party to take the House back.
