this is over the top, in my opinion.

We'll find out who is selected to be the next Pope in good time. When we do, we can analyse that selection, based on facts about the person selected. It may well be someone who will clean house in the RCC of all of those who allowed sexual assaults on children. What will we say then?

This is inappropriate, in my opinion.

Shielding that guy from the American justice system by inviting him to live a cushy life at the Vatican (which doesn't have an extradition treaty with the U.S.). That just burns me up!

Pope have done. Not in any way. I'm simply suggesting that we wait to see who is the next Pope and where he stands before assuming that they'll be selecting a child molester as Pope.

I'm a major critic of the RCC's actions with regard to priests molesting children and the church hierarchy covering that up and trying to pretend it wasn't a problem. I hope they change their direction. If they do not, I'll be right back criticizing the church.

I still think this OP is out of line, though. Had I been on the jury, I'd have voted to hide it.

You can wait all you want, but don't tell me to. That is not your jurisdiction.

Don't think so.

Fuck them and the cardinals they rode in on.

Never mind. Sandusky will die, though - in prison, not in the Vatican.
