Rushbo's Latest Ponzi Scheme...

Thanks to the advertiser boycott and radio's ongoing audience implosion (especially AM), Rushbo found a quick fix...and it looks like his listeners...errr suckers...got the in the end...

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/03/05/1191732/-Is-Major-Limbaugh-Advertiser-a-3-5-Billion-Pyramid-Scheme

?1362510884

A year-long advertiser exodus on the Rush Limbaugh Show--thanks in part to the efforts of groups like The Flush Rush Facebook community--has led to advertising which is dominated by erectile dysfunction remedies, shady identity theft protection, and other not-quite-mainstream ventures.

One of the most frequently heard advertisers is IncomeAtHome.com. Playing every day on the Rush Limbaugh Show, IncomeAtHome.com offers customers an opportunity for earning money from the comfort of their own home. The ad refers to an amibiguous affiliation with a "multi-billion dollar company" and claims an uncited triple A rating for business ethics.

A visit to the IncomeAtHome.com website doesn't immediately offer much more in the way of specifics about how this income is to be generated. But if you look very carefully, all the way down at the bottom of the page is this note:

Business Method presented is an online method of operating
an Herbalife International ® independent distributorship.

Herbalife is a nutrition and weight management company incorporated in the Cayman Islands with annual sales of $3.46 billion. Herbalife's website says it has 2.3 million independent distributors of Herbalife products. Each of them have invested money and varying amounts of optimism to get their businesses started. A graphic on the site shows a couple reclining on a yacht with the caption

also include IncomeAtHome.com and "erectile dysfunction remedies, shady identity theft protection, and other not-quite-mainstream ventures.' I would guess most reputable companies are very gun shy about advertising on any "politiical" radio programming.

Progressive Talk has been on the bottom end of the advertising food chain due to poor radio stations and ratings. It's "trickled up" to the "big boys" now. The byproduct has been the recent loss of Progressive talk stations as the corporates shift to a "safer" and more "advertiser-friendly" format...sports.

Not just talk, but also sports. Full of scammers asking for money to record veterans stories, take your donated car for a tax break, give you a cheap loan or a huge woody. All crap. I like to imagine them saying "We need your donation because our CEO's mercedes is getting near the end of its lease and they need a new one!"

Basically the idea was that you'd buy two annual subscriptions to Limbaugh 24/7 at $49.95 a piece then you could forward one to a soldier serving in Afghanistan or Iraq. As if they'd voluntarily listen that bullshit. Oh and he got the entirety of the $101.98 that you'd be spending on his site. What a humanitarian!

of those that won't let you leave. You get a pop-up that asks if you're sure you want to leave the page - either answer will keep you on their page. It's hard to believe anyone would have an interest after that, no matter what they had to offer. Anyone of even moderate intelligence would run.

...to keep these ponzi schemes up and running. There's a guy named Kevin Trudeau who is a master at this...you see him late at night on teevee hawking his books about getting rich quick and he's behind a bunch of these scam companies. He always seems to be one step ahead of getting nailed...but then he spreads his money around well...
