Kansas state GOP representative proposes legislation banning abortion clinic staff...

...from participating in children's school activities.

The proposal had drawn criticism because it initially was drafted broadly enough to prevent abortion providers or their employees from volunteering at their children's schools. Even some strong abortion opponents blanched and successfully worked to narrow the language.

"If you worked in an abortion clinic, you could not bring cupcakes to the kids' parties," committee Chairman Arlen Siegfreid, an Olathe Republican and abortion opponent, said of the earlier version.

But Rep. Allan Rothlisberg, a Grandview Plaza Republican, argued in favor of the broader language.

"If we're going to have people in our education system, I don't want them involved in any way, shape or form or manner in killing children, killing babies," Rothlisberg said. "We should have people of integrity and morality teaching our children."

Hey, his teeth match his tie! Now that's planning ahead! Too bad he doesn't know jack about conception or the lack of a central nervous system in a Zygote. Maybe he'd stop confusing them with "babies". But I'm sure he supported the war in Iraq and the death penalty....so that kind of "death" is evidently not a problem for him. He just seems to have a problem with women's civil liberties and equality issues. Just a slight double-standard that he's too short-sighted to recognize. I rate his I.Q. somewhere in the high 80's on a good day. He probably still "wets" himself.....not really worth any more time.

A SHED!!! Are you kidding me? The City Hall/Police Station is a SHED!

I wonder if they have indoor plumbing and if Rothlisberg uses it? Maybe he just does it out back the old fashioned way.....or maybe he just goes wee-wee under his desk.

It's amazing that an ignorant drip like this could get into office......but then how many people are there in Junction City Kansas with functioning brain cells, who haven't been warped by the snake handlers?

I especially love how the "court room" has it's own separate door on the "outhouse" or whatever it is.

Let's hope Rep. Rothlisberg learns something about zygotes; the First Amendment and Separation of Church and State real soon. I think someone should look into his church's tax exempt status since they're the only one's I can imagine putting him in office. He needs to start looking for another job...real soon!

It's rampant!

For example, SoS Kris Kobach thinks voting is a "privilege"

Vote KansasYour guide to Kansas elections.

Secretary of State Kris W. Kobach welcomes you to Vote Kansas! This website guides you through each step of the Kansas election process, including changes implemented in 2012. We hope it will be useful as you exercise your voting privilege and responsibility.

Voting is a "privilege?" Silly me, I thought it was a "right!"

Thanks for the warm welcome KansDem, it's greatly appreciated.

Oh, absolutely.....the droolers are rampant in Kansas. I can remember how scary Kobach was when he first appeared on the radar running against Dennis Moore. Thank goodness he never became a Congressman! But KKK Kobach's mainly about the money, he spends more time in Maricopa County Arizona collecting checks for his racist immigration legislation than he does in Kansas working as S.O.S......(that is......when he's not appearing on Bill O'Reilly).

Well, it's interesting to watch the Repug.'s try to gut "The Voting Rights Act of '65"; Redistricting; voter I.D., etc., etc. Anything they can think of since they can't win elections honestly. Their policies and track record obviously stink.....and they understand that is the only way they can win. They don't have a creative bone in their body and don't know how to bring their backward thinking up to date......what they do know how to do is lie and cheat. They're very good at that.

That state appears to have attracted every crazed nut in the country to it's electorate.
