(42,690 posts)It was a proceeding before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) to gather factual information/evidence and make a report and recommendation to the Georgia Secretary of State (who is not bound to follow that recommendation) as to whether to grant or deny the ballot challenge.
I haven't heard anything further, so I imagine that either the ALJ hasn't made his report/recommendation yet or that the report/recommendation is not being made public. My guess is that its the former and when the ALJ gets around to making a report/recommendation, we will hear about it.

(21,748 posts)Kemp (GA SoS) now can either look even more of a crazy person by trying to take Obama off the ballot (which would then make it go federal and be overturned in a second) or can back down from his birther insanity and gain the scorn of the birthers... Either way, the rest of us will still think him an idiot.

Did you now that Max Cleland (a former Georgia senator and a true hero) was also the former GA SoS? Oh, that Georgia had such an honorable and good person as the SoS now.

(2,830 posts)It's not a ruling. It was an administrative hearing. He is to make his recommendation to the Georgian Secretary of State.
On good thing is that he already issued a statement that he doesn't have the authority to require Hawaii to give Oily Taintz access to Obama's records.
Both parties have until Feb 1st to add to the records so I don't think we'll hear too much about it until next week.
