Description
www.BalloonsBlow.org is a website created to spread awareness about balloons as litter and their effects on wildlife and the environment. "Like" to promise to never let them go. Check out our website to find alternatives and learn more about their effects, the depletion of helium, and what really happens to balloons that are released.
General Information

(39,343 posts)It looks like food to sea turtles, dolphins, birds and others and it chokes their guts. Balloons are stupid, especially when they only serve the purpose of being released into the sky to fly away and litter some far away place.
Just dont do it

(17,573 posts)I remember participating in those balloon releases when I was a child. At some point in my teens I realized it wasn't a good idea and felt bad about ever doing it ... but of course we can't blame the 8 year olds.

I think it's mostly from boats who put out balloons, which inevitably get blown off when they are underway.
