Both Tony and I are the end results of over 500 years of "White Entitlement" in the U.S. (if one arbitrarily starts at 1492).
It's a telling fact that it took nearly 400 years to simply free Black slaves and another 100 years to guarantee their votes but only 50 years to want to dismiss them as needless and potentially take them away.
The joys of being a white man.
And don't get Tony and me started on women's rights.
