Why do morons have to turn every non political article on the internet into a political debate?

I posted an article about a Danish news outlet mistaking Assassins Creed for Syria. This was an actual unedited reply:

"Where are all the libtards saying that the TV station is a fake?

Oh wait I forget about the double standard that applies only to libtards."

Really? Libtards? I know two year holds that can flip shit better than that. And second why does every fucking thing on the planet have to be a political argument? They're only proving the point that Bill Maher was making last week. Anyone know why this is?

since President Obama was elected. Seriously, a lot of these people are watching or listening to RW bullshit every waking minute of every day. They're spending all their time actively, consciously hating Democrats in general and the President in particular.

Thankfully I'm quick to shoot them down every single time but then they come back with "fact checking = liberal".

It's just fucking rude and it ruins the party. Once upon a time it was considered to be bad manners to bring up politics at parties and such, or at work. Everyone's supposed to be having a good time and be relaxed, and here are these people trying to pick a fight on purpose. Assholes.

You just can't converse with these people, about anything. When my father brings his RW bullshit into a conversation about a totally unrelated topic, I sometimes tell him they have medications for people who are troubled by obsessive thoughts. Usually, not always, he'll stop doing it for a little while. I suspect a lot of them don't get any feedback like that, and really have no idea that they're acting downright loony.

Those are more political topics than some of the things that start those comments on the Washington Post. I remember a stupid Style section article on removing floral wallpapers and replacing maroon couches with neutral modern furniture to help sell your house having comments degrading into accusations of the libtards trying to regulate personal preferences.

Today, I watched a video of the band 'No Doubt' playing ('I'm Just A Girl') live. One of the comments after the video was from a woman who was disappointed that lead singer Gwen Stefani supported Obama, because Obama "hates white people".

I've seen remarks like that on lots of music videos and....well...everywhere. It's really crazy.

If you don't know their lead singer Tom Gabel last year announced he was beginning the process of gender reassignment and becoming a woman named Laura Jane Grace. There was a huge article in Rolling Stone about it. There were maybe something like 1500 replies on this article - I'd say exactly two knew what they were talking about. Maybe three with a +-1 margin of error. The rest were just vile, ignorant comments spewing fundamentalist religious garbage. It was pretty revolting.
