(272 posts)Eliot Spitzer would be my first choice too. Second choice would be Chris Hayes.

(22,887 posts)She's smart as a whip and has a gorgeous smile-- I'd love to see her with her own show.

(31,222 posts)Professor Peterson over at The Grio, I'm sure they'd be more than willing to pick up any slack, and it would certainly raise the profile of The Grio.

(22,057 posts)aside bullshit and get to the meat of a question like almost no one else I know. She's my favorite contemporary journalist (a tie with Rachel Maddow).

(36,974 posts)There are five females and four males on the poll list.
(And there wasn't even enough room on the list for Mellisa Harris Perry and Alex Wagner)
I did not notice that we have so many females to pick from when I set the poll up, the names where just some that folks had mentioned on another thread.
Isn't it amazing how far we've come since the days when Barbara Walters was the only female anchor on TV

(22,057 posts)all three are women. The world is changing whether the right wing likes it or not. Women are truly, slowly coming into their own. Thank God(dess)!

(1,301 posts)I really like him and used to enjoy his radio show when it was broadcast in my area. I also like Thom Hartmann, though he's not really affiliated with MSNBC.
Alex Wagner is great, but I like to watch her morning show.

(14,023 posts)Absent that, Martin Bashir kicks ALL kinds of ass.

(22,887 posts)Bashir is fantastic!! Apart from everything else, he has a delicious sense of humor!!

(14,887 posts)Because he deserves a better time slot than 1:00 pm PST.

(13,776 posts)... Martin Bashir really is a hoot. So snarky and funny. He would be appealing to a lot of people, I think. He's certainly underappreciated by being on at 1 pm Pacific Time, that is for sure.
So, after first thinking that Chris would be the best choice (and he would indeed be FREAKING AWESOME) it might be fun to see Martin in that slot. But I would love to see Chris there, too....
