As the US starts to wind up the occupation of Afghanistan, why should we be shocked

that Karzai is turning against the US.

Think about it, most of the strong opposition to the Karzai is coming from the Taliban and in order to cement his legitimacy with the regular Afghan people he has to distance himself from the Godless Americans...

Seriously, if I can figure it out why can't most of the media people.

Todd had a "military" expert who challenged the Administration in an article of making a big mistake.

Well, if these people are getting all out of joint because of the recent grousing coming from Kabul, they should probably go back and read some history, starting with Rome.

President Obama, I know you are not getting your nose out of joint from these outburst. Just know that some of us who can think beyond the egocentric love of our country and see reality for what it is...

safe while we start pulling out. They're not going to get into a big public shouting match with Karzai and ratchet up the tensions--bad enough our troops are on higher security alert because of his pronouncements. It's enough that we leave, hopefully as quickly as possible. We don't need the country to become more unstable while we're trying to go.
