BELLEVUE, Wash. Police are investigating after a 50-year-old man committed suicide during a gun-safety class at a Bellevue shooting range.
Seattlepi.com reports ( http://is.gd/MNJJSo) that Brian J. Parry shot himself in the head with a pistol Sunday during a class a West Coast Armory, a gun range and dealer with outlets in Bellevue and Issaquah. More than a dozen people, including children, reportedly were present.

These classes provide easy access to a handgun for suicidally depressed individuals - all without actually purchasing the weapon and then changing their mind. This, I believe, may be a concern for people whose depression is exacerbated by financial issues, and a gun-safety class is less of a financial blow than purchasing a handgun if they change their mind after paying.

Forcing others to witness such a thing at their workplace is a selfish act. I'm sure he was in terrible despair to take his own like, but making others part of it ...
