For means you oppose it, against means you support it.

Chances are good a lot of people read the 1st have of the question and then click 'For'.

They passed the bill as expected about two hours ago (having passed it once already), it heads now to the Governor's desk to be signed into law -- he has already stated he would sign it.

Denver Post poll notwithstanding.
