It seems to me that CPAC does some cosmetic purging every year, but they really can't keep the racists out because the conference wouldn't have many attendees if they were meticulous about purging racists. Even Donald Trump used his time to complain that we don't have more European immigration.
So, they can keep Pam Gellar kind-of sort-of out, and they can ban any official role for the John Birch Society and they can cherry-pick a couple of notable white power folks to exclude, but there's a reason all those folks are attracted like flies to CPAC. The conservative movement is a racist movement, and has been since forever.

(10,942 posts)using my own experiences. Most conservatives that I have encountered directly don't come off as racists. That is because they aren't the overt type of racist, or even knowingly a covert racist. But even those that don't show one of the two mentioned forms of racist behavior are betrayed by their arguments. They rail about how hard they work and how they get nothing while people that don't work suck up the taxes they pay. When they are pressed to define who the people are that don't work and soak up taxes, their examples always involve a member of a minority group, never a White person or a big corporation that pays no taxes while earning hundreds of millions or even billions. For the conservatives that I encountered directly, the problem with government waste always comes down to a member of a minority group getting something for nothing, those people's inability to distinguish, seek out facts and come to rational conclusions, instead blaming "minorities", in practice makes them racists.

(10,893 posts)and we found it odd that during the part of the speech where she mentioned the 2nd Amendment, there was big applause, but when she mentioned the goal of the conservative movement supposedly being to care about everybody regardless of race, then all of a sudden it got silent.

President Obama Won by 5 Million but there were still an inordinate amount of idiots voting for mittLies. Ignorant brainwashed Masochists who need something to personally happen to them to get their private little wake up call.
