Comcasts Southern EAS (Emergency Alert System) Activated and stuck on Palin @ CPAC

While watching a movie on Showtime Comcasts activated the Southern EAS (Emergency Alert System) and it stuck on Palin @ CPAC and for at least 30 minutes no other programming was available. Comcast's phones rang busy and when we got through they said they were having technical difficulties. Someone in charge of the EAS system needs to be fired. We refuse to allow the Wild Alaskan Dingbat on our TV's. Political Tea Party stunt is what I call it.

I am glad your tv survived the emergency alert fiasco. I think you are right that someone was pulling a stunt. I wouldn't be too sure it is a tea party person. It could be anyone. Even a liberal thinking the more people are exposed to the dingbat the less they like her.

She was on all channels because you could not change the channel while the cable box read EAS on it. I will complain to Showtime also. What a time to be a non-drinker, ain't enough moonshine in TN to get me through a Palin speech

5. It has comical value but it IS, in effect, a free political ad.

And done so in a format that used emergency systems.

It very well may have been an honest technical mistake. If it's investigated (and it should definitely be investigated) and it's found that there was ANY intent, the station and the individual should be prosecuted to the full extent for election law violations.

Some people might be having problems with their Comcast box being stuck on C-SPAN. The Emergency Alert System has malfunctioned. Comcast is aware of this and working to correct it.

Tami Worley Holloman We had this problem about 2 hours ago. It started working on its own about 15 minutes later. Hubby attempted to unplug the cable box a couple of times for 1 minute, but it didn't help.

I bet he was in the back somewhere holding her purse and cell phone. Last I saw them together he was holding her up at a car show in Arizona. She was rail thin and staggering around on some 6 inch hooker heels. Wait I might have caught a photo of him at the Iron Dog, she couldn't get off the twitterverse long enough to take a pic with him this year so she stayed in the truck.
