Technology has clearly outstripped mankind's ability to handle it.

For instance, because of overly aggressive spelling auto-correct, the time travel application I created for my computer, only wants to send me into the furniture.

So frustrating.

I hate autocorrect. It has a much smaller vocabulary than I do and is always replacing perfectly good words with nonsense. Until I turned it off, it made posting on DU from my Kindle Fire almost impossible. Did I say that I hate autocorrect? I use it in Word for Windows, but only because I have entered a large number of shortcuts into it, and because it makes it simple to revert to the work you typed. It's also reasonably smart.

where you were typing that suggestion?

And then he divided by zero?

an infallible error handling routine. But, if all else fails, an ON ERROR RESUME NEXT statement will prevent a disaster.

That's probably the true cause of the Big Bang, infinite Time Travel apps trying to turn off error handling.

Worked pretty well so far. At least as far as I know, I have yet to leave a black hole in my wake.

devices, inexperienced operator errors that have caused electronic devices to not do what I want them to, than I actually experience living life.

I have had several frustrating episodes lately that have made me very seriously consider throwing all my electronics into the creek and become an itinerant beachcomber again.

And then when I extrapolate and think about surveillance devices, drones, and nuclear power plants...yikes!

to be invaluable. However, the grammar corrections are almost invariably wrong, because that little program does not know how to diagram sentences.

It corrects everything and you can't type a name unless you instruct auto correct to recognize it! It will correct names it does not know of into the nearest word. It's hilarious.
