I mean, it certainly seems like a good idea, I'd just never heard of them until one was on the traffic advisory sign on the beltway.
Do they not happen often, or have I just been missing them?

(5,739 posts)And yes they have them, my mother always jokes about how there will be a silver alert for her and her dogs some day. Driving around with 3 dogs packed into a white BMW.

(4,908 posts)People can register & if someone with a cognitive disorder wanders off, the info goes on to police,.media & on road information signs. It has been so successful, we have expanded to a "special needs".alert for people on the spectrum or with developmental disabilities.

The latest one didn't end well -- they found the man dead.
