Vacation and be careful: Two cruise passengers shot in Barbados
More unfortunate news from the cruise world:
Two British passengers on a world cruise aboard P&’s Adonia were shot in a robbery in Barbados, according to reports in the Telegraph, a British newspaper and website.
The report from the Telegraph reads in part:
The married couple were attacked as they were walking back to their cruise ship along Hinks Street, a main road in Bridgetown, the capital, at 2pm on Sunday, police on the island confirmed.
The woman, believe to be aged 59, was shot once in her right side and the man, thought to be aged 72, was hit by a single bullet in his left pelvic area. Both are in stable condition in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, said Insp David Welch, a police spokesman.
They were named locally as Philip and Ann Prior, of Woodbridge, in Suffolk.
