I wasn't listening to the show today at work and didn't hear if they made any announcement or not. So did anyone say?

(10,942 posts)Some here criticized Com cast when it took over MSNBC. But is less than two years Comcast has taken major steps toward building a 7 day a week news based channel, one that reports news honestly and is often at the fore-front of key stories like voter suppression attempts and attacks on women's reproductive rights.

(12,287 posts)and doesn't speak at the speed of light. I was hoping he'd be picked for the cycle.

(50,130 posts)...for John Kerry. Lots of depth there. Lots of anchor potential. Doesn't hurt ratings that he is movie star good-looking, either.

(10,942 posts)Chris Hayes is an effective host. I would have preferred seeing Ezra Klein take over Ed's old slot. But MSNBC has made some solid moves over the last year and a half, so the Execs deserve some slack on this one.

(50,130 posts)I'll give the suits at MSNBC some slack when they apologize for firing Phil, and for pushing David Shuster out, and when they dump Russert the younger.

(7 posts)Cenk is the real deal, he speaks the truth as he sees it.
MSNBC wanted him to tone down his bashing of Obama, he refused to compromise himself. Bravo!
Don't get me wrong, I voted for Obama twice. That said, I don't agree with every thing he does.

Stop over for a coffee and chuckle break when you find the time.

(72,300 posts)When you go to your 'My Account' feature you will an option to have a 'Star Membership'.
Any amount will help DU and you.
After you become a star member you will:
no longer see ads.
be able to do an advanced search to find so much more.
Or you may use the Google search at the top of this page.
Another advantage of having a star is being able to start polls when you are ready to do that.

Its Wednesday.
Wondering how the Supreme's will determine the outcome on DOMA & marriage equality?
Seems they want to avoid being bold, unlike their stance in 2000, Bush Vs Gore & Citizens United...
Justice Kennedy offered some hopeful signs, considering the children living with same sex parents.
Any thoughts?

(1,135 posts)Chris was taking over Ed's spot, I thought that Steve would be good for his spot.
I haven't watched the Cycle in weeks, but today had it on and went, HA! when I heard the news.
I can't abide Sippycup and Toure' I can almost tolerate. I think that they should replace Sippy with Susan Del Percio, a republican strategist and MSNBC guest pundit. Every time I've seen her, she was smart, respectful and willing to say it like it is, even if it's a neg for the right. I have to respect her for that.
Sippy, I have zero respect for. She's the perfect example of rethugery.
I think she got a boob job, watching the way she positioned herself throughout the show, her arm unnaturally back to jut out better. I need a "meow" smiley here........

(7,566 posts)They gave Steve a big send-off yesterday, but today it was just the three of them, no replacement announcement for Steve that I heard....
I don't hate The Cycle, it's just not very high quality. I think it's the producer's fault, it just never seems to be put together very well. Sippy Cup is annoying, but the other two I really like as personalities.
