Watch closely the large work projects supported by Republicans.

They're going to need to start building the coffers for the next election. Here's one that I suspect fits the bill:

Orlando airport expansion demands scrutiny

And that will only cost $470 million.

Here's the thing: I don't care if these guys want only two quarters to stick in an airport vending machine, I'm still skeptical.

Here's why:

The airport's biggest customers — the airlines — are fighting this expansion. (And the airlines use their own money. The airport uses ours.)

Just as important to me, the airport has been steeped in political controversy — and actually squashed efforts to bring greater transparency and ethics to the board.
