"Come inside kids, they're starting to drop the bombs!"

One of the worst things I remember about 10 years ago was a thread someone started here about his/her neighbor who called her kids in from the backyard to watch the bombings on tv. I almost forgot that part. That they showed this on tv.

"Yeah, Shock & Awe:IRAQ! started out really cool and everything. Everyone knew it was bullshit, but it was fun, right? Then it really, really went downhill after the first season. Got sort of sad & boring, with way too many WTF? scenes. Ya know?"

It just seems so long ago. Too bad it wasn't some collective nightmare that we could all wake up from.

All I knew was that Hussein was evil and a bunch of Muslims lived there. And, if my childhood taught me anything, it was that a good Muslim was a dead Muslim.
