British tourist jumps out of Agra hotel to escape sexual assault

Even after national protests against the gang rape and murder of 23-year-old physiotherapy student in the Capital in December last year, the country still remains unsafe for women.

Close on the heels of the gang rape of a Swiss tourist in Madhya Pradesh last week, a 25-year-old British tourist jumped off the balcony of her hotel room in a bid to avoid an alleged sexual assault in Agra on Tuesday morning.

The victim fled after the hotel owner, broke into the room at Hotel Agra Mahal. She said she had requested a 4 am wake-up call but instead, the alleged attacker forced his way in, offered her a massage and refused to leave.

The woman, who is reportedly a dentist, broke a leg and is recovering in hospital. The police have arrested the hotel owner Sachin Chauhan.

there were some comments in a few other threads about that other tourist who was raped when she went with her husband through some part of india which is considered to be dangerous and where people usually don't go.

ok, so lets be safe and go where the biggest tourist attraction in india is .................

this is why all the crap about "why did she go/do ................." is such bs so many times.
