This Bush ad from 2004 was very effective in Ohio.
It is called Ashley's Story and it worked wonders for Bush in playing the flagwaving/terrorism! card. It was demagoguery, shameless, vapid----and absolutely brilliant.
Team Obama should take note. Maybe a similar ad with a girl who is just happy to have her soldier Dad home from Iraq, or maybe a teenager whose parents jobs were saved because this president chose to save the auto industry. Both would be good ideas for ads.
