have I woken up in a parallel universe,where womens',workers',civil rights are disappearing?

Every story I have read in the paper today has had to do with assaults against reproductive rights,workers rights, racial profiling and glbt baiting. Good grief... my mom and grandmother protested in the 40's,50's,60's and 70's to end these hateful things...only to see them reappear? If I ever needed a reason to get politically active in 2012...this did it for me. I hope you are ALL registered to vote. You know THEY are.

3. there are days I do believe we are, in fact, in a parallel universe. when we were fighting these

battles in the 60's and 70's, I didn't think that 40 years later, we would have to be fighting harder than ever.
