http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/abortion/208067-planned-parenthood-raises-400000-in-24-hoursPlanned Parenthood said it has raised $400,000 in online donations in the 24 hours since news broke that Komen would no longer fund cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood clinics. More than 6,000 people have donated, Planned Parenthood said.
The group announced yesterday a $250,000 donation to continue providing cancer screenings to low-income women.
"People respond powerfully when they see politics interfering with womens health," Planned Parenthood said. "Thats why weve seen a tremendous outpouring of support. These donations will continue to help expand Planned Parenthoods critical health care services nationwide, especially those affiliates impacted by the Komen cuts."

(28,784 posts)that's very good to see - and, b/c of this right wing assault, this puts PP in the news and generates more support, both financial and political, for the organization.
we need to have "cage matches."
Planned Parenthood vs the Florida anti-choice ass and his lies. Let people vote - which one do you prefer? who do you believe?

Your local region and/or the national organization may also have monthly donation plans available.
