Dear Supreme Court

Dear Supreme Court:

I have been in a committed loving relationship with the same man for 27 years. Our relationship is more meaningful than any Kardashian made-for-TV fiasco or Newt the serial philanderer Gingrich's 3 "marriages." I don't want to have to go to Iowa or New York to get married only to come back home where that certificate is worthless. That's not fair. That's not right. That's not America. I not only ask for the freedom to marry the man I love, I demand it.

Respectfully,
Tired of Waiting

They live and are getting married in NY next year. When they come to visit me, or her sister, or her grandparents in Florida, this state will not recognize their marriage. If something were to happen to either of them while they are here, the State of Florida will not recognize their spousal rights to make decisions for each other. They have to go to an attorney to draw up a Health Proxy, POW, etc.? As a straight married couple, my husband and I didn't have to do this moving from NY to Florida, but apparently Florida can pick and choose WHICH NY marriages they recognize. I have even told them not to come here at all. I will visit YOU instead.

Marriage Equality must be recognized in ALL states, not just a some.
