I only know 1 thing about this. I cannot get over the fact A BABY WAS SHOT IN THE FACE!

At this point it feels like something is badly missing from the conversation about this.

This is the sort of incident which should be the tipping point where America is so horrified demands for a handgun ban become deafening.

But...

I don't think I could handle listening to the audio.

Thanks for the K&R, too.

Who only care about ME. This is the problem with the mindset of gun owners. It took living with a gun owner for 38 years to fully understand this.

shot in the face is one. I can't even process it. It might be like the Sandy Hook shooting...I didn't cry till I heard, a few days later, the story of the little children outside that man's house, going inside and having their parents called. Then I cried. Too much is too much.

"The NRA is not protecting freedom, it is protecting gun-industry profits."

The ubiquitousness of guns is a symptom of a diseased society.

It won't matter how many laws are passed.

AR-15s can be bought in Oakland for $200-$300.

If handguns were illegal they would be only available in the criminal underworld therefore much more difficult to obtain and would be more expensive.

Kids certainly wouldn't be able to get their hands on them so easily.

Simply put, reducing the ease of access will reduce the amount available.

And where will everyone else's line of defense be when criminals buy smuggled guns and target others?

In the rest of the world, where handguns are illegal, illegal drugs are easier to obtain than illegal guns.

With regards to the second question, I know it's unknown territory for America but many other countries across the world are doing fine without all and sundry owning handguns.
