Color Therapy, the Susan G Komen Foundation and the color Pink...

I wanted to share something I found while Googling. Someone had posted in another thread that they had always hated the color pink.
Pink is a color denoting kindness, caring and nurturing, as posted on this site:

http://crystalsandjewelry.com/color_energies.html

Now, look at the color pink and its description as a healing therapy. See these words:

"Excessive pink may incline toward excessive passivity."

I find that interesting and enlightening when I think about the Susan G. Komen Foundation's use of the color pink.

It is certainly NOT an empowering color, worthy of strong women taking on the fight of a lifetime (literally).

I hate when stores fill with the annual load of pink kitschy shit.

I had one dress that was black with tiny white polka dots that I wanted to wear constantly. My mother tried hard to discourage me, saying black was not suitable for little girls. Pink, she said, was appropriate.

Not for me, it wasn't.

I still despise pink, 56 years later.

They saved my father's life and his kidney. They have several clinical breast cancer trials going on and have a solid board of directors.
