Several injured in explosion at Crane Naval Warfare Center in Indiana

Multiple sources have told 24-Hour News 8 that there was an explosion Thursday at the Crane Naval Warfare Center.

The explosion happened around 7 p.m. in the pyrotech area on the base.

Several were injured and one person was hospitalized. There is no word on what caused the explosion.

At least five people from Naval Support Activity Crane were injured in a fire Thursday, the Herald Times reported.

... The victims’ conditions aren’t known at this time. They are all being treated at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
