Damn.
Too young, way too young...

(149,534 posts)What they had is so important.
They had love.
Without that, life isn't worth anything...
And that love survived the death of her body...
I believe her soul lives on and loves him.

(8,040 posts)The picture with her and her four friends really hit home for me. How much longer until I end up like that? I'm already bald, and weak from chemo.
It breaks my heart that my gf may see that last picture in real life.

Think and meditate on those good times, good memories. Hold on to them tight. Try not to let thoughts of tomorrow creep in.

(54,302 posts)We lost one of our best friends to breast cancer at age 36. She was smart and beautiful. There are no words.
On the other hand, my wife went through this twelve years ago. The whole cycle: operations, chemo, then the radiation.
Nine months of hell.
And she beat it. Never give up.

(12,081 posts)Breast cancer has hit my family hard. I lost my grand mother and my mother and I carry the BRCA1 gene. We don't yet know if our 18 yr old daughter also carries it. Those are beautiful pictures.

(5,815 posts)She was diagnosed with cancer when I was 12. She moved in with us and stayed in my bedroom while I slept on the couch. When she first moved in, she was just my aunt, sick, but then people got sick. It was ok. A year and change later, we had gone through all the stages, and then she was gone.
Watching someone go from the height of health to a memory in a short time is the hardest thing imaginable.
